What better way to celebrate than by popping a bottle of bubbly? I worked with a lovely husband who wanted to surprise his wife with a special cake for her 50th. The party was a 1960’s cocktail party, so we went with a theme of Champagne with mostly black and white. With edible old fashioned champagne glasses. Topped off with a real mini bottle of Moët in a fully edible (yes, even the ice) wine bucket. The cake was a dark chocolate mud with layers of dark chocolate ganache. The whole thing was a huge hit, not only with the birthday girl but everybody else at the party.
